PROGRAM

Day 1 :

Bishkek, Chychkan gorge

Meals: D

Accommodation: guest house

Meet at the international airport Manas or in Bishkek city, go on your trip to Chychkan gorge which takes 4-5hour drive, through one of the beautiful passes Too-Ashuu, which is 3180metres high above sea level, here would would be breath taking view to Suusamyr valley, lunch stop on the way, enjoy taking some pictures, further would be another pass Ala-Bel which altitude 3200metres high above sea level, here also enjoy with view, down there would be Chychkan gorge, check in to the guest house, night in peaceful place with the forest, and gorge. Night and dinner in a guest house.

Day 2 :

Arkyt village, Sary-Chelek lake

Meals: B, D

Accommodation: homestay

Early in the morning after the breakfast, we will go on our trip to Sary-Chelek lake which takes 5hour drive, Sary Chelek Lake is 1873 meters above sea level, and is 7.5 km long. Sary Chelek varies in width, from 350 m to 1,500 m and at its deepest point reaches a depth of 234 m making it the second deepest lake in Kyrgyzstan. The shoreline is deeply indented and lined by steep forested slopes, which descend into the depths of the lake. Shallow areas have developed only in the larger of the bays. Lunch on the way and stops at Naryn river, and Toktogul lake, arrive to Arkyt village, night and dinner a local homestay.

Day 3 :

Sary-Chelek reserve

Today we will visit Sary-Chelek reserve and lake, we can hike up to the lake which takes 3-4hour hike either visit by car 1 hour drive, picnic on the way, here you will have boat at the lake which will make a trip to other side of the lake and around by, after excursion we will come down to Arkyt village night and dinner in a local homestay.

Day 4 :

Tash-Komur, Arstanbop, Arlanbob walnut forest

After the tasty breakfast at the local homestay, we will continue our trip to Arslanbob walnut forest which takes 5hour drive, arrive to Arstanbop village, check in to the homestay, after we will visit small water fall then easy hike around the forest of Arslanbob, night and dinner in local homestay.

Day 5 :

Osh city, Sulaiman-Too museum, Osh bazaar

In the morning we will drive to Osh city second largest city after the capital of Bishkek which takes 4-5hour drive from Arslanbob walnut forest, check in to the guest house, after we will visit Sulaiman-Too historical museum, The Sulayman-Too National Historical and Archaeological Museum is certainly one of the most unique museums in Kyrgyzstan, if not one of the most unique buildings. A natural cave was expanded to make room for a museum with 13 rooms and artefacts related to spiritual history. At the base of Sulaiman-Too is a larger museum with over 33,000 exhibits about the history, archaeology, art and nature of southern Kyrgyzstan. After we will visit Osh bazaar, night dinner in a guest house.

Day 6 :

Alay-Valley, Sary-Tash village

Today early in the morning departure, we will visit Alay valley and Sary-Tash village which takes 4-5hour drive, we will cross 2 passes first would be Chyiyrchyk pass which is 3400metres high above sea level and the second would be Taldyk pass which altitude 3600metres high above sea level, on the way stop for the lunch and taking picture later come back to Osh city night and dinner in a guest house.

Day 7 :

Osh, Kazarman village

Early in the morning, after the breakfast we will drive to Kazarman village which takes 5-6hour drive, through Kaldama pass which is 3060metres high above sea level, arrive to Kazarman check in to the guest house, easy day night and dinner in a guest house.

Day 8 :

Baetov, Tash-Rabat caravanserai

In the morning after the delicious breakfast at the guest house we continue our trip to Tash-Rabat caravanserai through Baetov village which the trip takes 4-5hour drive. This is a carefully restored stone building that once housed an inn on the Great Silk Road. Its date of origin is strictly unknown - but there is archaeological evidence to suggest that the site was occupied in the 10th century. Set some 15 km up a small, beautiful valley in the foothills of the Tian Shan, embedded against the hillside. There is evidence that it was a place of both rest and worship and would have served to protect caravans to and from China from both the ravages of the weather and of bandits - from before the time of either Tamerlane or Chenghis Khan. Arrive to the yurt camp, check in to the yurt, night and dinner in a yurt camp

Day 9 :

Tash-Rabat caravanserai

Day 10 :

Song-Kul lake

After the breakfast at Sabyrbeks yurt camp, we will drive to Song-Kul lake, which takes 4-5hour drive from here, experience the horse riding for 2hour, Son-Kul lies at an altitude of 3016 m (9895 feet) above sea level. At 29 km (18 miles) long and 18 km (11 miles) wide, and maximum depth of 13.2 m (43 feet), Son-Kul is Kyrgyzstan’s second largest lake. The average temperature is only -3.5° C (26° F), though in summer the average temperature is 11° C (52° F). In winter, temperatures fall as low as -20° C (-4° F), and there are around 200 days of snow a year. This means that in winter, it is often impossible to reach the lake. Unlike Issyk-Kul, Son-Kul freezes in the winter, and remains frozen from September to June. Arrive to the yurt camp night and dinner in yurt camp.

Day 11 :

Issyk-Kul lake, Bokobaeva, eagle hunting demonstration

Continue trip to Issyk-Kul lake, through Kalmak-Ashuu pass which is 3200metres high above sea level, lunch stop in Kochkor village, after stop by Orto-Tokoi water reserve, then by Issyk-Kul lake, arrive to guest house, after we will have Eagle hunting demonstration, where an eagle will hunt the rabbit and fox, the demonstration will take 2hour, after come back to the guest house night and dinner in a guest house

Day 12 :

Skazka canyon, Djeti-Oguz gorge and Broken heart, Karakol

Go on your trip to Karakol, which takes 4-5hour drive from here, on the way stop by 2 sights 1st would be Skazka canyon, and 2nd would be Dgeti-Oguz and broken heart gorges, lunch stop, Skazka Canyon is one of the most stunning places in Kyrgyzstan, a canyon filled with fantastical sandstone shapes that give the spot its name, which means fairy tale in Russian. Over millennia of erosion, the red sandstone has taken on forms that some say resemble animals, landmarks, or characters from legends. Djeti Oguz is a sandstone formation about 25 km (15 miles) southwest of Karakol. The name means “seven bulls”, which comes from the fact that the rocks look like seven bulls. Jeti-Oguz Rocks are a protected Nature Monument. Night and dinner in a guest house.

Day 13 :

Kyrchyn gorge, Cholpon-Ata city

We will drive through north side of Issyk-kul lake, on the way stop by Kyrchyn gorge, arrive to Cholpon-Ata, night and dinner in a guest house.

Day 14 :

Boom gorge, Bishkek

Notes:

  • It is recommended to have warm closes due to cool weather in mountain area.
  • Meals in remote place without options to go out are included in the program price as mentioned in description.
  • Suggested program can be changed or individualized according to your interests
  • We book agreed tour package and services after client’s confirmation. To guarantee booking we apply to make prepayment within 5 days after all services booked and confirmed. Balance can be paid upon arrival.

  • About sleeping bag.It is recommended to have your own sleeping bag inlet or sleeping bag with you. Besides, we cannot give you 100 % guaranty that mattresses at the home stay will be ideally clean, that is why better to put your own sleeping bag to this mattres. The same situation with towels.
  • About electricity: In theory, accommodation places in the countryside have electricity. But it does not mean “automatically” that in practice it’ll be so. Sometimes there is the problem with electricity in some places but it is very unpredictable.

Notes

Clothing

  • Layered clothing: Include base layers, mid-layers, and outer layers to adapt to varying weather conditions.
  • Waterproof jacket and pants: To stay dry during rain or wet conditions.
  • Warm hat and gloves: To protect against the cold, especially at higher altitudes.
  • Comfortable boots: Well-fitted and sturdy, preferably waterproof.
  • Additional pair of shoes or sandals for leisure time
  • Extra socks and underwear: Moisture-wicking and quick-drying options are best.

Gear

  • Backpack: A durable and comfortable backpack with a capacity suitable for the length of your trek. Recommended weight maximum 10kg
  • Sleeping bag liner: Adds warmth and ensures cleanliness. We cannot give you 100% guaranty that mattresses at the Yurt Camps or Homestays will be ideally clean and meet your standards. That is why better to put your own inlet to these beds.
  • Headlamp or flashlight: With extra batteries, for visibility at night.
  • Multi-tool or knife: Useful for various tasks.

Food and Water

  • Water bottles: To reduce waste we’ll recommend you to buy 7-10l Bottles from the stores and refill your bottles.
  • Food: meals which are not included to the program, you’ll have the choice to try local food at markets/bazars on the way, at restaurant or cafes.

Safety

  • First aid kit: Include bandages, antiseptics, pain relievers, and any personal medications.
  • Personal hygiene items: Biodegradable soap, toilet paper, wet wipes.
  • Medications: Any personal medications, plus extras in case of delays. We are sometimes in very remote areas, so obtaining these items could be difficult.
  • Sun protection: Sunscreen and lip balm with SPF, hat, sunglasses.
  • Insurance: Travel insurance is not included in the tour package. It is highly recommended that clients have their own travel insurance to cover illness, injury, and loss or damage to personal belongings. In case of an emergency, the staff will do their best to assist and transport you to a hospital or another point of care. However, if you do not have insurance, you will be required to cover the charges yourself. Your insurance should also cover helicopter services and rescue/search operations in the mountains.

Miscellaneous

  • Money: it’s common to pay by cash.
  • Credit cards and Visa cards to withdraw money can be used in Bishkek, Karakol only.
  • In bigger restaurants, cafes or gas station sometimes you can pay by card.
  • Camera or smartphone: To capture the beautiful scenery.
  • Power bank: To keep your electronic devices charged. In theory, accommodation places in the countryside have electricity. But it does not mean “automatically” that in practice it’ll be so. Sometimes there is the problem with electricity in some places but it is very unpredictable.
  • Wifi: at accommodation at the moutains can be possible but don’t expect it. Same with mobile phone reception
  • Reusable bags: For carrying trash out of remote areas.
